Coalition To Empower Our Future Launches Ad Campaign

Spot Highlights the Need for a Comprehensive Approach to the Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Challenge

WASHINGTON, DC — With mental health and wellbeing challenges rising among America’s youth, the Coalition to Empower our Future – a newly formed coalition that aims to bring together a wide array of perspectives and expertise to shed light on the many factors impacting youth mental health – today launched “Convening a Conversation,” a new ad showcasing how youth wellbeing in America is a serious challenge in need of a multifaceted solution.

The spot calls attention to the multitude of factors impacting youth mental health and wellbeing, including but not limited to social isolation, overuse of devices and social media, family and economic instability, exposure to violence, bullying and more. It also urges all stakeholders to work together to find long-lasting and meaningful solutions.

“As parents, we constantly think about the world the next generation will inherit. We want it to be a place where young people can thrive emotionally, mentally and socially. But right now, kids in America are experiencing unprecedented challenges when it comes to their mental health and wellbeing,” said Glen Weiner, executive director of the Coalition to Empower our Future. With any complex challenge, we know that real, lasting change will not happen overnight. We need to work together with urgency to ensure our children grow up strong and resilient and to support parents and families.”
